George Adams

Co-Founder, CEO and Director

George Adams brings over 25 years of successful executive experience creating and growing mobile, enterprise, and security software businesses. As CEO, he is responsible for leading the company’s strategic development and execution to achieve high profitable growth. Before co-founding ViziApps, he was CEO of SSH Communications Security Inc., building it from a startup to an industry leader and $400M IPO. Before that, he was VP of Marketing, Products, and Business Development, for Phoenix Technologies Ltd., helping create and expand the PC, laptop, and mobile device industries. Earlier, he launched and built key new industry-leading businesses at Sun Microsystems, Intel, Analog Devices, and Motorola. George has served on the Boards of several early stage information technology companies and spoken at numerous industry conferences. George is a Board Member of SAMI, Sales and Marketing Innovators, an industry group focused on the latest best practices and technologies for sales and marketing in 21st century companies. He earned an MBA from Boston University and a BSEE from the University of Miami.

Michael Hackney

CTO and VP of Products

Michael has built and led high performance engineering teams in companies including RailComm, Infobright, and EMC (now Dell EMC). At RailComm, he led the design and development efforts and product marketing strategies for Insight - a railroad-focused predictive analytics platform built on Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Prior to that, Michael was responsible for Infobright’s product and market strategy to capitalize on Internet of Things machine-generated database analytics opportunities, and he served in the EMC CTO Office following EMC’s acquisition of Authentica, Inc.

Tom Trometer


Tom Trometer’s extensive experience with a wide range of innovative, early stage pioneering companies uniquely qualifies him to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for ViziApps. At ViziApps, he provides financial management, directs the corporate treasury function, establishes protocols and standards for internal reporting, helps develop business models and plans, oversees shareholder communications, and establishes risk management for the company. Tom has over 25 years of experience and has served as the CFO for both publicly traded and privately held companies, including Constant Contact and HubCast. Tom is a CPA with a BS in accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

Debora Cole

Director of Marketing

Debbie has over 25 years of marketing experience with IBM, Lotus, Xerox Imaging Systems, and Wang Laboratories. At IBM, she was responsible for business partner digital marketing and communications. She has well-rounded expertise in marketing strategy, campaign design and development, copy writing and editing, website design and development, and social media. She is an intuitive project manager who works with partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration, effectiveness, and communication.

Dr Howard Morgan

Howard Morgan has more than 25 years of experience serving as a mentor, advisor, investor, and executive in entrepreneurial ventures. He is a founding partner of First Round Capital, a seed stage venture fund. He was a founding investor and is a Director in Idealab. Since 1989, Dr. Morgan has served as President of Arca Group, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in computers and communications technologies. He serves as a director for a number of public companies, including Franklin Electronic Publishers, Inc. and Internet Brands, Inc. A respected author and frequent industry conference speaker, he has been an active consultant and speaker on information systems for more than 30 years, working with many Fortune 100 companies and major government agencies. He has been a Visiting Professor at the California Institute of Technology and the Harvard Business School. Earlier, he was a Professor of Decision Sciences at the Wharton School and a Professor of Computer Science at the Moore School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Morgan received his Ph.D. in operations research from Cornell University and a B.S. in physics from City College of the City University of New York.

Bob Garrow

As a veteran executive of successful startups and major high technology enterprises, Bob Garrow is able to combine his creative ability with years of experience. Highlights of his career include pioneering work at Intel as an engineer and engineering manager. He was a co-founder of Convergent Technologies as VP Engineering and General Manger, developing CT from startup to IPO. He managed very high growth at Sun Microsystems as GM of Sun’s Workstation Division and later, as VP of World Wide Manufacturing. He led the creation of high technology enterprises as co-founder and CEO of Athenix Corporation, and as co-founder and in business development and sales and SVP Strategic Relationships at Liquid Computing. In 2009, Bob created Unit Enterprises LLC, a professional services company, through which he assists startups and on-going concerns in various roles including business development and operations. Mr. Garrow received his BSEE from UC Berkeley and completed MSEE programs at the University of Santa Clara.

Michael Kuperstein


Michael Kuperstein, Co-Founder and CTO of ViziApps, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2018. Michael had over 25 years of experience inventing and commercializing technology. After receiving his Ph.D. in neuroscience from MIT, Michael went on to author two academic books and patent seven inventions including, in 1987, the world’s first neural network robot that learns from its own experience. As an entrepreneur, he founded three companies based on his inventions of handwriting recognition, facial recognition acquired by Viisage, and voice recognition. As Co-founder and CTO of ViziApps, Michael invented the ViziApps rapid visual creation of mobile apps and led the company’s technology and product development until the time of his death. While Michael was considered by most a scientist, engineer, and businessman, he considered himself an artist. Michael lived and breathed creation, including painting, poetry, music, and writing.
