RADD stands for Rapid Application Development and Deployment. It’s a framework and architecture that addresses both halves of getting a mobile app into use — building it quickly and deploying it quickly — rather than only the development half.

RAD tools, including no-code and low-code platforms, shorten how long it takes to build an app. RADD adds the deployment half of the problem: it addresses how quickly a finished app can pass enterprise security review, identity integration, data governance, and device provisioning to actually reach a frontline worker’s device. In a traditional IT environment, this process typically takes weeks or months regardless of how fast the app was built.

RADD moves the IT security perimeter from around each individual app to around the entire development and deployment environment. Because the environment itself is pre-approved for authentication, data handling, integration, device management, and audit standards, every app built inside it inherits those controls automatically instead of being reviewed and approved individually.
