ViziApps Senior Business Development Representative (BDR)

Overview
We are a high-growth enterprise software startup attacking complex problems in the retail supply chain. We are looking for a senior, execution-oriented Business Development professional who can do more than generate meetings.
This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments without heavy infrastructure and enjoys building structure while executing. You will own outbound prospecting, help refine Salesforce pipeline architecture, coordinate and support initial sales calls, and contribute to the development of our pre-sales pitch motion.
This is not a strategy-only position — we have GTM leadership in place. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who can execute, systematize, and professionalize the front end of the revenue engine.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Outbound & Pipeline Creation
- Own outbound prospecting into targeted large retail, logistics, and supply chain enterprise accounts
- Execute personalized, high-impact outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Research accounts and stakeholders to deliver relevant, business-focused messaging
- Cold call into operations, IT, supply chain, and management contacts
- Run structured first-call discovery to uncover operational pain, urgency, and buying intent
- Book and coordinate high-quality Discovery/Demo meetings
Salesforce & Pipeline Infrastructure
- Work directly within Salesforce to refine and improve pipeline stages
- Help define qualification criteria and opportunity progression standards
- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and accurate reporting
- Improve lead-to-opportunity flow and follow-up processes
- Support creation of scalable outbound cadence and tracking frameworks
- Ensure visibility into pipeline health, conversion metrics, and velocity
Pre-Sales Support & Call Coordination
- Develop strong working knowledge of ViziApps’ platform and use cases
- Contribute to refinement of the pre-sales pitch materials and flow
- Coordinate initial sales calls and ensure seamless handoffs
- Sit in on early-stage discovery and demo calls to support and track progress
- Capture notes, drive follow-up actions, and help advance qualified opportunities
- Deliver high-level product overviews when appropriate
Startup Execution
- Operate with urgency and accountability in a remote startup environment
- Work cross-functionally with GTM leadership, Account Executives, and Solutions Engineering
- Help build scalable process while actively generating pipeline
Required
- 4+ years of successful outbound B2B BDR, SDR, inside sales, or hybrid pre-sales experience
- Proven success prospecting into mid-market or enterprise accounts
- Experience working hands-on within Salesforce beyond basic data entry
- Strong phone presence and comfort engaging Director, VP, and senior stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills for outbound email and LinkedIn messaging
- Ability to work independently and remain highly productive in a remote startup environment
Preferred
- Experience selling or prospecting enterprise SaaS and related Professional Services
- Experience selling into retail, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations buyers
- Experience running structured discovery conversations
- Exposure to supporting or delivering product demos
- Early-stage startup company experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
Compensation
This is an early-stage startup role with meaningful upside for top performers who want to get in early and help build the revenue engine.
This will initially be a part-time contractor position at 20 hours/week, with the opportunity for higher hours as ViziApps’ business grows and the selected candidate performs.
Compensation will be a combination of Base and Variable/Commission commiserate with experience as well as potential for equity compensation after demonstrated top performance.
Uncapped upside for over-performance against metrics goals
Compensation plan is simple, transparent, and results oriented.
